This cub is a rare Gem – A 90 hp PA-18. C-90 engine, no flaps, 990lb empty weight = A cheap to fly, easy to maintain, FUN airplane – Exactly what a Cub should be. Full LED lighting, Cleveland heal brakes, Desser 22″ tires, a new dual-head Trig comm, and Steve’s gascolator are a few upgrades that add some modern convenience. Also included but not yet installed is a Steves aircraft oil cooler STC and a few boxes of original parts. No transponder is installed.
She spent most if her life in Germany as a glider tug, where she was crashed in 1989. A U.S. service member bought the basketcase and spent years rebuilding from the ground up, finishing in 2017. Details of this rebuild are noted in the logbook photos below. Aircraft is covered in Stits / Polyfiber.
The rebuild was done in New Mexico, and she’s lived here since. Always hangared, flown regularly by only the professional pilot / owner. The airplane lives in an airpark and is flown regularly.
The photos will speak for themselves. This airplane is practically new, corrosion and damage free, and ready for many more decades of cheap, reliable flying. Airframe and engine logs only go back to (and include) the ground up rebuild / restoration. Extensive documentation is included in a large box of files.
